Drehen - CNC Kurs & Ausbildung

Module 6 - CNC course & training

Rotate

The turning process, the angles and temperatures at the cutting edge, the ISO designation system for indexable inserts and turning holders form the beginning of the turning module.
Then the advantages and disadvantages of the turning holder clamping systems are explained and the carbide types for turning are classified. Chip breakage geometries, chip breakage diagrams and material form the starting point for choosing the right insert. The special cases: turning stainless steel, aluminum and cast materials, hard turning with CBN and ceramics and finish turning with cermet are dealt with in depth.
The problems of internal turning and the use of vibration-damped boring bars form another topic. The thread turning module deals with the topics of thread types, the selection of indexable inserts, shims and turning holders and the turning of left and right-hand threads with different turning methods. Parting, radial and axial grooving, as well as chamfering, are also discussed in detail in the turning module. Of course, this also includes modern tool systems, cutting layouts, and various programming strategies, as well as troubleshooting during the process. In addition, the optimal cooling of the cutting edges, in particular the high-pressure cooling during turning and plunge-turning, is also discussed. Detailed information about the precision turning of hardened parts as a modern turning process, as well as the economic comparison with cylindrical grinding complete the turning module.
